For me, bacon is something that goes next to eggs at breakfast. But which do you prefer: crispy or soft?
If you like crispy bacon, this is a product I would recommend checking out( ^∀^)/

Kirkland Signature fully cooked bacon 453 g package

① Fully cooked and easy to use

The best parts of this product are that it is:
Fully cooked
Microwave-ready
Already sliced

That makes it very easy to handle. Convenient〜🎵

② Checking the nutrition label

The photo is a little hard to read, but this is the nutrition label.

Did you notice? This product is lower in calories than regular bacon.
Depending on the cut, belly bacon can often be around 400 to 500 kcal per 100 g.

This product lists 129 kcal per 100 g.
Since it is fully cooked, a lot of excess fat has probably already been rendered out.

For bacon, the ingredient list also seems to keep additives fairly limited. The sodium is high, but that is hard to avoid with bacon.

③ Opening the pack

Let’s open it.
Inside, several neatly arranged sheets are stacked together. My pack had 4 sheets.

The package says there are about 48 to 50 slices total.
The bacon itself feels a little firm, probably because much of the moisture and fat has already been removed.

It also has a zipper, so you can store it in the same bag. Very convenient.
In my case, the best-by window was about 5 months, though that is only a guideline.

④ Heating instructions

These are the heating instructions.
There are two methods: microwave and oven. That really is convenient.

Of course, cooking time can vary depending on your equipment, so treat the instructions as a guide.

⑤ I pan-fried it instead of microwaving it

I originally wanted to try it in the microwave... but I ended up pan-frying it.
I did not use the microwave even once. Sorry.

But look at it. It looks good, right? 😆

I did not use oil when cooking it, because the bacon released this much fat on its own. Even though it is already cooked, more fat still comes out. ~_~;

If you plan to serve it with another dish, I recommend placing it on a paper towel first to absorb the extra fat.
I cracked an egg into the pan afterward and made a fried egg. There is no need to add extra oil.

*I tried it*

It cooks up crispy and tastes good.
I like both soft and crispy bacon, but sometimes I really want crispy bacon. Getting that texture from raw bacon can take time.

I also chopped it and used it in soup and pasta sauce. Bacon really changes the flavor of a dish.

I would not say this product has amazing value for the price.
Still, if you like crispy bacon, it is very easy to prepare, so I do recommend it.

You can heat it as-is or try it in different dishes.
